The gown was adorned with cat ears, and she paired it with feline facial prosthetics and pointed talons on her nails. Why did Karl Lagerfeld’s cat not participate in the Met Gala?
The third richest cat in the world and Karl Lagerfeld’s favourite pet Choupette decided against attending the Met Gala in 2023, which was themed around Karl Lagerfeld. She actually received a personal invitation to attend the Met Gala, which she declined. The cat has a message on its own Instagram page stating that it would want to be calm and comfortable at home. The post was probably written on behalf of Choupette, who is represented by a pet marketing company.
The cat will undoubtedly sense the affection from a distance, though. He occasionally went with her on trips in their private jet. Choupette participated in interviews with her father as well, and she was always the centre of attention.
